Active Projects

CybARverse

CybARverse integrates and sustains its activities by combining technology, pedagogy, and organisation. The project will qualify teaching personnel according to the “Periodic Table of Cybersecurity Training” for an individual and logical coherent training.

eBusiness Awards

The eBusiness awards aid in the promotion of the most innovative initiatives in the domain of eBusiness for development and to spread awareness about the role of web-based technologies in addressing social and economic concerns.

Past Projects

Mind the Gap

The primary objective of Mind the Gap is to provide an easily accessible opportunity for local e-commerce service providers to gain insight into their cybersecurity maturity levels and provide assistance to improve it.

Women4IT

Women4IT is a multi-stakeholder partnership funded by the EEA Grants and the Norway Grants Fund for Youth Employment. The project is supported by 9 Partners from across Europe and will be implemented in Malta, Greece, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania and Spain.

Tech.mt Free WiFi

The Public Internet Access Point project involves the setting up of free Wi-Fi Internet points in locations frequented by the community. The project is intended to promote the usage of Internet by means of portable devices away from home or the office desk.

Valletta Tech Summit

The Valletta Tech Summit aims to put Malta on the map when it comes to technology by inviting international and national speakers, exhibitors and attendees to this bi-yearly conference and expo. We aim to bring together the great minds of the tech and creative industries under one (virtual) roof.

ICT 4 the Elderly

ICT 4 the Elderly is a strategic partnership project funded by the Erasmus+ program of the European Union. This initiative addresses what has become known as “online ageing”, by offering the public a learning opportunity on how the Internet can play an important role in improving the quality of life through online social interaction.

GetSmarter

The Get Smarter project is aimed at helping mobile users maximise the use of their smartphones. The project consists of an informative training programme, which takes the users through some very useful tools that are available on a smartphone and offers interesting tips for effective usage.

BesmartOnline!

BeSmartOnline! (BSO) is the National Safer Internet Centre (SIC) for Malta. Today, BSO is synonymous with the safer use of technology amongst children, educators, parents and guardians.

Dizzjunarju tal-Malti

The scope of having an online Maltese Dictionary is to keep the Maltese language present and alive within the digital sphere. The Maltese Dictionary platform allows the user to search for a word in both English and Maltese. If the word searched yields no answer, the page allows the user to send / suggest its inclusion.

Malta Cloud Forum

The objective of the Malta Cloud Forum is to facilitate the uptake of cloud computing, particularly by micro organisations and SMEs.

Digital Invasions

The concept of the DIGital INVasions for the Promotion of Cultural Heritage project (DIGINV) revolves around promoting the exchange of good practices for the involvement of citizens in the dissemination, enhancement and care of cultural heritage, through an innovative methodology based on the use of new communication technologies.

ZEST

ZEST is an event focused on digital innovation, targeting Malta-based tech startups and digital businesses. The event attracts startup founders and CEOs, investors, talent, influencers and support professionals.

Budding Rockstars

Budding Rockstars is an educational one-day conference aimed at promoting tech entrepreneurship as a viable career path.
