Tech.mt wrapped up 2025 with strong progress across international engagement, business support, and talent development. The year highlighted the organisation’s ongoing work to strengthen Malta’s technology ecosystem and connect local businesses to global opportunities.
Through participation in major international events like GITEX Berlin, London Tech Week, GITEX Global, and Web Summit Lisbon, Tech.mt enabled 58 Maltese technology-led businesses were able to present their solutions, expand networks, and attract foreign investment. These efforts reinforced Malta’s presence in key technology areas, including AI, Cybersecurity, FinTech, EdTech, and VR.
Locally, Tech.mt maintained a steady focus on collaboration and community engagement. More than 35 local events were held in 2025, including panels, expos, showcases, and networking sessions, supported by eight active collaborations. These initiatives helped to foster knowledge sharing, practical learning, and stronger connections within the local tech ecosystem.
Supporting businesses was a central part of Tech.mt’s works this year. Over 300 businesses received guidance and support, with 60 new members joined the growing directory, now totalling over 540 members and more than 50 startups benefited from targeted programs, alongside our increasing number of 55 industry partners.
Communication and campaigns remained an important tool for driving awareness and engagement. Through nine key campaigns and four active collaborations, Tech.mt focused on internationalisation, attracting investment, and developing talent, reaching startups, investors, educators, students, and the wider community.
Looking ahead, Tech.mt will continue building on these achievements in 2026.
The focus will remain on growing partnerships, supporting local businesses, developing talent, and increasing Malta’s role as a connected and innovative technology hub.
