Coordinator - Graphic Designer (Job Permit No. 996/2024)

About The Role

Job Permit Number – 996/2024

The Coordinator will be expected to apply an acquired list of duties carried out at Tech.mt and will play an essential role in shaping the feel of our daily operations. You will be an integral part in ensuring that our office operations run smoothly and successfully.

The duties include and are not limited to:

  • Assist Management in executing the Strategy of the Foundation;
  • Assist Management to conceptualise and develop designs for marketing campaigns;
  • Turn conceptual work into effective campaign material that has an instant, positive impact on the target audience;
  • Design creative material for a variety of channels, such as; across our sites, display advertising, print, social media, mailshots and video channels;
  • Design marketing material such as banners, thumbnails and infographics for new campaigns;
  • Structure and create impactful content for a variety of channels for campaigns, promotions and articles;
  • Write content for artworks and complementary descriptions for social media posts;
  • Develop a clear brand message in all communication following brand guidelines;
  • Be creative and willing to deliver the best product to our audience;
  • Ensure the timely and accurate production of all material produced;
  • Monitor and maintain quality and ensure accuracy and consistency in all brand material;
  • Collaborate with other entities to deliver creative work that delivers on our foundation’s focus and mission;
  • Maintain and manage files and backups keeping a well organised approach throughout;
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings;
  • Represent Tech.mt in meetings and other events as required;
  • Assist in other duties as may be directed from time to time by the Management.

Duties described above may change depending on the exigencies of Tech.mt.

Eligibility Criteria

Skills Required:

  • Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite especially Photoshop, Illustrator and inDesign;
  • Familiarity with CSS, HTML and WordPress environments;
  • A creative eye for colour and form, and good knowledge in designing both for web and for print;
  • A keen eye for aesthetics and detail;
  • Strong time management and communication skills;
  • Positive, self-starter who pays particular attention to detail;
  • Reliable, responsive, available, and present;
  • Autonomous and self-motivated;
  • Able to work in a very fast-paced environment under tight deadlines;
  • Able to think analytically, apply sound judgment, and solve problems.

Position Requirements

  • Preference will be given to candidates who possess a Degree in Marketing; or Graphic Design or Communication or an equivalent qualification in a relevant field of study at National Qualification Framework Level 6 or better, duly certified by the Malta Qualifications Recognition Information Centre (MQRIC)* or a widely recognised professional qualification at a comparable level in a related domain area; OR
  • Consideration will also be given to Candidates with an NQF Level 5 Diploma or an equivalent qualification in the area/s of Marketing; or Graphic Design or Communication or related domain area AND three (3) years prior work experience in the area/s of Marketing; or Graphic Design or Communication or related domain area; OR
  • Candidates who at least possess five (5) years’ experience in the field/s of Marketing; or Graphic Design or Communication or related domain area.

The above qualifications and/or experience need to be supported with a portfolio in graphic design, animation and illustrations.
