Tech.mt closed 2024 on a high note, distinguished by various advancements in digital innovation, global engagement, and educational initiatives. Reinforcing its mission to cultivate a strong technology ecosystem, Tech.mt championed initiatives that elevated Malta’s profile on the international tech stage.
By spearheading Malta’s representation at prestigious global events – including the Dublin Tech Summit, London Tech Week, GITEX Global, and Web Summit, Tech.mt enabled 60 local businesses to showcase their expertise, expand networks, and attract foreign direct investment.
These strategic missions solidified Malta’s reputation as an emerging leader in the global technology landscape.
Tech.mt’s outreach initiatives have also played an important role in 2024, focusing on engaging with the local community, key stakeholders, and academic institutions to drive tech education and awareness. These efforts have resulted in increased participation in tech-related programmes, creating a pipeline of talent ready to contribute to Malta’s growing tech ecosystem.
Offering its support to upward of 380 businesses in 2024, Tech.mt was invaluable for the local tech scene and entrepreneurs in various stages of their journey, to obtain support and guidance. The members directory continued to grow to more than 480 members in 2024, marking an impressive increase of some 80 members during the past 12 months.
Focusing on internationalisation, foreign direct investment, and addressing the talent gap, Tech.mt’s communications strategy targeted a broad audience, including B2Bs, startups, investors, policymakers, educators, students, youth, and society at large. Through the launch of nine strategic campaigns, the aim was to engage and inspire these stakeholders, fuelling growth, innovation, and the continued development of Malta’s tech ecosystem.
Looking ahead, Tech.mt is poised to build on these achievements in 2025 with a strategic focus on sustainability, innovation, and global collaboration. By strengthening international partnerships, attracting foreign investment, and expanding educational programs, Tech.mt remains committed to driving the growth of Malta’s technology sector on the world stage.
