Malta ranks amongst the top 5 best performing countries in the area of intellectual assets. The European Innovation Scoreboard 2020 highlights the highest rate of performance increase in this area was observed in Malta (36%).
Intellectual assets capture different forms of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) generated in the innovation process, including PCT patent applications, Trademark applications and Design applications.
