Episode 8: Protecting from Denial-of-Service attacks

Tech.mt - October 28, 2021 - 0 comments

A denial-of-service attack (DDoS) seeks to make a computing system unavailable or unusable to its intended users. This is accomplished by overloading the targeted system and preventing it from functioning correctly.

A typical target of a DDoS attack is a business website – if the website becomes overloaded it is not able to handle incoming visitors and becomes inaccessible to legitimate users and this can negatively impact your business.

DDoS attacks can be prevented by ensuring that your systems infrastructure is resilient, by implementing policies that strengthen access to your systems and by using DDoS mitigation services.
