In the area of attractive research systems which is measured on the criteria of international scientific co-publications; most cited publications; and foreign doctorate students, Malta recorded the highest rate of performance increase (47%) between 2014 and 2021. Compared to 2020, Malta registered the 2nd highest rate of performance increase (14.1%) – EIS 2021
